At Bullitt Dental P.L.L.C., we value your teeth just as much as you do. We’re prepared to help you preserve your smile, no matter what unexpected swerves life might throw at you. One of the worst things that can happen to your smile is having a tooth knocked out. If you find this happening to you, don’t worry, we are here to help walk you through the process of saving your tooth.

The first thing that you should do after having a tooth knocked out is to wash off any debris from it. While doing this, do not touch the root of the tooth. Hold the tooth by the crown and wash it by using either lukewarm milk or water. After the debris has been washed off, examine your tooth to see if it is broken. If it is unbroken, try to replace it back in its socket. If it is broken, prevent it from drying out by placing it in a glass of milk or storing it in the side of your cheek.

After you’ve taken these steps, give Bullitt Dental P.L.L.C. a call and set up an appointment with Dr. Robert A. Bell. During your appointment he will reinsert your tooth if it is possible. If the tooth is unsalvageable, you and Dr. Robert A. Bell will decide on a replacement.

There are several options to choose from to replace a lost tooth, including dental bridges, dental implants, and dentures/partial dentures. Call us in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, today to learn more.
